With highs in the fifties it really doesn’t feel like the middle of January. And though it has been nice to find some unexpected time in the garden this winter, I still have my eyes set on the spring season ahead. The seasonal changes here in Pennsylvania are dramatic compared to my temperate hometown of San Francisco. It feels almost magical in the spring to see the tender green leaves start to emerge from the stark winter landscape.
